Aerosmith Heads Back Into The Studio
Aerosmith announced plans to head into the studio to record their latest album, despite not having secured a producer. Guitarist Joe Perry told Billboard.com, “I’m not sure who the producer is gonna be or what (studio) we’re gonna do it in. We may use a few different producers. I don’t know. All I know is that the heart and soul of the thing is us getting in the studio and seeing what comes out.”
The band will be recording the follow-up to 2004’s studio record Honkin’ on Bobo for Columbia Records, which is currently helmed by music guru Rick Rubin.
Perry also revealed to Billboard that the Boston-based rockers are working closely with Red Octane company to produce Guitar Hero IV, which will exclusively feature songs from the Aerosmith catalogue. “I don’t know much about the technical part of it,” Perry added, “but artistically we’re working hand in hand.”
